Tourism development in Con Dao should be accompanied by the protection of its environment and unique cultural heritage, said Associate Prof. Nguyen Thi Van Hanh, from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
Delegates also proposed developing volunteer tours, building hotels and resorts that use renewable energy, and education tours for students to learn about marine life, marine ecosystems, and conservation.
